A netting with mesh-limiting netting strands for the lashing of freight or as part of a loading pallet for cargo is to be produced in a simple way and is also to be of low weight. For this purpose, the netting strands are parallel-woven bands (12, 21) with weft and warp threads (15 and 14), two respective adjacent bands (12b, 12c) being connected by means of threads (15b) running through both of them, and the latter threads (15b) forming weaving bridges (17) arranged at a distance (q) from one another. <IMAGE>
