<p>PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption and to make a special treatment unnecessary in case of abandonment of a waste photosensitive body by using a GaAlAs light emitting diode having a log wavelength where a high external light emission efficiency is attained and using an organic photoconductive material having high sensitivity to the long wavelength as a photosensitive body facing said diode. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a photosensitive drum 1 is charged uniformly by an electrostatic charger 2 while rotating the photosensitive drum 2 in the direction of an arrow, and a light emitting diode array head 3 is flickered correspondingly to picture elements in 1:1 to form an electric charge image of characters, a picture, or the like. The image is developed to a visible image with a toner by a developing machine 4, and this image is transferred to a form 9 by a transfer device 5. A mixed crystal ratio (x) is set to 0.1-0.2 so that the light emission peak wavelength is 750-800nm to obtain a maximum external light emission efficiency, thus producing the Gax-1AlxAs light emitting diode array 3. A two-layered organic photoconductive drum is used as the photosensitive drum, and an electric charge generating layer 12 and an electric charge migrating layer 13 are laminated in order on a conductive base body drum 11 consisting of aluminium or the like to form the photosensitive drum 1.</p> |
