<p>Color imaging apparatus for forming a beam of light having three separate intensity modulated color components. The beam is line scanned across the surface of a photosensitive member on a drum (30) for recording. Three separate color light modulating channels (11, 12) and (13) are provided. Each channel includes an electro-optic modulator (14) responsive to a voltage signal for modulating the intensity of collimated light passing through it in accordance with the desired intensity of a color component. Dichroic mirrors (20) and (21) separate the light from each channel into an intensity modulated color component. These intensity modulated color components are combined into a single beam which is line scanned across the surface of the photosensitive member.</p> |
