The invention relates to a valve for pneumatic tyres of vehicles with a valve cap which can be fixed on a valve insert and consists of a cap wall moulded onto a top plate. The intention is to improve the sealing of the valve cap, both manufacture and use of the seal being facilitated and its wear reduced. For this purpose, a seal (30) situated in the path of motion of the valve insert (9) and associated axially with the annular rim (6) of the latter is provided, this seal preferably being mounted between the cap wall (13) and at least one retaining web (25) of the top plate (11). <IMAGE>
