In a razor blade holder for the use of a razor blade as an erasing device, a flat gripping plate (3, 4) consisting of rigid material is provided on each side of the razor blade (1). The gripping plates (3, 4) can be screwed together via screwholes (31, 41) corresponding to the receiving holes in the razor blade (1), the gripping plates (3, 4) each extending laterally towards the cutting edge (12, 13) of the razor blade (1) sufficiently far for the latter to project beyond the gripping plates (3, 4). This razor blade holder is suitable for large-area erasures on transparent paper. <IMAGE>
