ANALYTICAL CELL FOR RADIOACTIVE LIQUID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the defects of existing analytical cell for radioactive liquid by retarding formation of radioactive deposit and blocking accumulation of contaminated vapor. SOLUTION: An enclosure 1 of tubular side wall 2 surrounds the major portion of the inner volume of an analytical cell and a cavity 5 in a tightened part 4 communicates with the outside through an overflow pipe 6 and a vent pipe 7. An enclosed plug 12 mounted on the tightened part 4 constitutes a top wall 13 and a collimator 14 is formed thereon by a plurality of lead rings 15 thus defining a detection pipe 16. In order to remove radioactive particles deposited on the side wall 2 of cell and the top wall 13 to cause disturbance in the measurement, a rinse unit comprising a horizontal ring, a rinse liquid supply tube, an additional rise tube and a circular groove is disposed to spray liquid entirely over the enclosed plug 12. In order to prevent the vaporization of radioactive liquid producing other deposits, a unit comprising a blow tube, grooves and cavities blow a gas in front of the enclosed plug.
