The invention relates to a method and a device for thermic use of solar energy. The outside air is as heat transfer medium guided in a rising manner, absorbing heat, in a solar collector, the air of the external environment being drawn into the solar collector by self-convection. The air flowing in is successively deflected in a rising manner in the solar collector in such a manner that it delivers thermal energy on the front side of the solar collector and it delivers over the entire surface on the rear side to a heat consumer such as for example a building facade. To this end, it is envisaged, in terms of the device, to divide the solar collector into double chambers arranged one above another, the air flow being diverted alternately from the chamber situated on the front side into the chamber lying above it situated on the rear side and vice versa.
