Heat sensitive recording support comprises a substrate, esp. paper, coated with a compsn. comprising a colourless chromogenic agent, a phenolic co-reactant and a suitable binder for the co-reactant. A water insoluble pigment is dispersed in the compsn. and comprises an agglomerated crosslinked urea-formaldehyde resin, the particle size of the pigment being 2-10, esp. 3-9 mu. The support has good abrasion resistance and gives images of excellent contrast.
