The present invention relates to a device preferably for cleaning of large water tanks. The device comprises a machine provided with crawler tracks and a framework (2) on which an electrical driving unit (3), a pump unit (4) whose inlet is connected to a vertically adjustable, cone-shaped nozzle (9) with a large suction width and whose outlet, via a hose (6) leads sucked up material to a container (7) or to a sewer outside the tank. The vehicle has two spot-lights (14, 15), a video camera (17), a sonar (21) and two ballast tanks (24, 25) mounted on the framework (2).
