PURPOSE:To prevent a fixing screw from having play and being cracked by forming a metallic plated layer on the plastic-made constituent part of an optical head where stress operates. CONSTITUTION:A light source, an optical system, and an actuator for an objective 23 are incorporated in a main body frame 12 made of plastic. A fitting surface 25 for fixing and holding the optical head to a carriage 24 is formed at a flank part of the main body frame 21 and a tap hole 26 for engaging the fixing screw threadably is provided to the fitting surface 25. Then, the metallic plated layer for increasing the mechanical strength of the fitting surface 25 for the carriage and the tap hole 26 is formed on the fitting surface 25 and the screw surface of the tap hole 26. |
