<p>PURPOSE:To select the coordinates quickly and automatically in a simple constitution by using the input signal obtained from the reaction of the eyes when a certain position is observed closely on a display screen to produce the coordinate signal. CONSTITUTION:Both counters 13 and 15 are set under the initial counting states and the counter 13 performs addition for each pulse of the dot synchronizing signal Sh. Then, the horizontal scan is updated for each pulse of the horizontal synchronizing signal HD. Then, the signal HD produces a pulse when the counter 13 has its count value (m) and the display screen is updated. Here, it is supposed that the eyes 21 of an operator observe closely the coordinate dots Xn and Yn for a prescribed period of time. Thus, the latch signals S1a are produced when the dots Xn and Yn are scanned in response to the reflected light Lm produced by the cornea of the eye 21. Therefore, the count output signals Sx and Sy of the counters 13 and 15 are latched by the signal S1a when the coordinates Xn and Yn are scanned. Then, the latch signals Sox and Soy are supplied to a CPU from a latches 17 and 19 in the form of the information showing the coordinates Xn and Yn respectively.</p> |
