PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shut down laser beam when an optical connector is disconnected, and prevent dust from entering or mixing and a fiber end surface from flawing by the attachment and detachment of an optical connector. SOLUTION: When the optical connector is not mounted, a ferrule 24 is pressed by a spring member 26 from one side and slanted, and the optical fiber 24a of the ferrule 24 is made to deviate in axis and angle from the optical axis of a laser beam stop-down part 22, thereby shutting down the laser beam. When the optical connector is mounted, the spring member 26 and ferrule 24 are released from abutting against each other by sliding a sleeve assembly 27 to eliminate the tilt of the ferrule, and then the ferrule and laser beam stop- down part are stored in the sleeve assembly 27 and clamped by a split sleeve 27b; and the optical axis of the laser beam stop-down part 22, the optical fiber 24a of the ferrule 24, and the optical fiber 32a of the optical connector are arrayed on one straight line and the laser beam is guided to the optical fiber 24a of the optical connector without any optical coupling loss. |
