Three=dimensional computer tomography esp. for medical diagnosis

The 3-D computer tomography involves irradiating from a source (1) a body (2) to be examined. The radiation then emitted from the irradiated body is detected (4) and analysed without any direct reconstruction but performing an edge reconstruction. Preferably all detected regions of constant intensity are merged or are set to zero and only those regions of different intensity are registered, using a difference filter and/or by mathematical imaging. Regions of different intensity may also be smoothed.
