Anti-lock braking (ABS) control system for motor vehicle

The system repeatedly reduces the hydraulic brake pressure when a wheel locked state is detected from a wheel speed reduction and increases the pressure when the wheel speed increases. The system contains a wheel speed detector, an acceleration computation device and a detector of the torque on a drive shaft connected to a drive device in the vicinity of each wheel. A further arithmetic computation device corrects the acceleration value for the measured torque. A control command device outputs a command for controlling the hydraulic brake system's braking force applied to the wheel depending on combination states of wheel acceleration and corrected acceleration
