INSPECTING DEVICE FOR PATTERN OF PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD ON THE LIKE

PURPOSE:To shorten inspecting time so as to make precise inspections efficient ly, by previously setting an inspecting area to the minimum extent and deciding as faulty even when data whose part only is inconsistent with reference informa tion are read in the set extent. CONSTITUTION:Reference windows are prepared at every segment which are formed by dividng a printing pattern 11 into a necessary number by placing a green sheet 10 which is used as a reference on an X-Y stage 21 and data in each window are stored in a standard pattern storing device 35 after binary coding the data. Then another green sheet 10 to be inspected is placed on the X-Y stage 21 and the image of the 1st segment is picked up. Thereafter, data at every window which are previously set by a reference pattern producer 32 in the picture are read by means of a testing pattern data detector 33. When the read data are compared with the data stored in the standard pattern storing device 35, presence/absence of a faulty part can be decided by means of a deciding circuit 36.
