The fine adjuster for application to a boring bar (3) includes a clamping screw (1), turning plate (2), three hydraulic expansion chucks (4, 7, 9), an operating screw (6) and scale divisions (6). A movement (tilting or parallel axial movement) is imparted to the entire boring bar by turning it relative to the machine spindle interface. Rotation is thus created about an axis roughly parallel to the machine spindle. An eccentric boring bar receiver may be used to achieve this purpose. If the boring bar is to be tilted, the machine spindle interface should have an angled sliding surface.
