PURPOSE:To dispense with a protective film and to simplify the structure of the titled medium by forming the outermost film among the recording films by dispersing semiconductor fine particles in a substance having excellent corrosion resistance. CONSTITUTION:The information recording medium is composed of a transparent substrate 11, an undercoat layer 12 formed on the substrate 11 and consisting of a plasma-polymerized film, a metallic thin film 13 deposited on the layer 12 and a Te-C thin film 14. The thin film 14 is highly resistant to corrosion, the initial reflectivity is maintained for a long period and a protective film can be dispensed with by using such a thin film 14 as the outermost recording film. Consequently, the effect of a protective film on reflectivity is eliminated and the structure can be simplified. |
