PURPOSE:To enable a sorter to be fitted and detached as required and provide a printer with an optimum size, by constituting a printer of a main body and a sorter which can be connected to the main body. CONSTITUTION:The main body P of the printer comprises a recording part B, a feeding part C for feeding a recorded recording material from the part B, and a discharging part D for discharging the recording material fed by the part C. When the sorter S is fitted, a solenoid 25 is set into a horizontal position, and the printed recording paper is fed out through an opening 28 to the sorter S. The recording paper fed into the sorter S is fed by a feeding mechanism E to a sorting and stacking part F, which sorts and stacks the recording papers. Where the sorter S is not fitted, the recording material recorded by a printing part 6 is guided to feeding rollers 5c, 5d by the solenoid 25 which is erected, and is stacked in a paper-discharging unit 24. Thus, the sorter can be fitted and detached as required. |
