A paint roller having a hollow cylinder, which is mounted on a gripping part having several bends and is covered with plush or the like, having a cylindrical core fixed concentrically in the cylinder by radial webs, in which core a slotted bearing bush, which receives the bearing limb of the gripping part in a clamping manner is rotatably mounted so as to be axially non-displaceable, clamping sleeves being forced into the ends of the cylinder, which clamping sleeves clamp the covering against the inside surface of the cylinder and whose end walls are provided with concentric bearing sleeves for the bearing limb of the gripping part.
