<p>PURPOSE:To provide a recording ink having excellent shelf stability, discharge stability, image clarity, etc. and suitable for use in an ink jet recording system, by mixing a red pigment, a water-soluble red dye, a high-molecular dispersant, a surfactant and an aq. medium as essential ingredients. CONSTITUTION:A red pigment (A) (e.g. C.I. Pigment Red 5 or 11), a water-soluble red dye (B) (e.g. a compd. of the formula), a high-molecular dispersant (C) (e.g. gelatin or gum arabic), a surfactant (D) (e.g. polyoxyethylene alkyl ether or polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene alkyl ether) and an aq. medium (E) (e.g. a mixture of water and ethylene glycol) are mixed together to obtain the desired recording ink. By using components C and D in combination, pigment dispersion stability is improved. By using components A and B in combination, an image having improved resistance to water and light can be obtd.</p> |
