In order to secure the hand-operated air pump on the frame of a bicycle, a slotted tube is put over the extended plunger of the hand-operated air pump and pushed until over the air outlet nozzle. An L-shaped slot in the lower part of the tube ensures mounting in the retaining pin of the air-pump mounting means. By twisting the air pump and inserting a padlock into a hole provided therefor in the tube, the air pump is secured.
