PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely receive a response packet to a transmitted request packet. SOLUTION: When a packet transmission means 21 transmits a request packet, a prediction means 23 predicts a response packet whose reception is expected by the transmitted request packet. When a response packet is received from a transmission medium 25, a comparison means 26 compares the reception packet received by a packet reception means 22 with a part of the packet predicted by the prediction means 23 and outputs the reception packet only in the case of coincidence between them. Thus, only the response packet is preferentially received to surely receive the response packet whose reception is expected, and the reliability of the transmission medium is improved.
