The invention relates to a circular broom for floor-cleaning machines, which permits optimum utilisation of the brushes and also guarantees a high cleaning and cared-for effect. The object of counteracting a deformation of the bristle bunches is achieved by an uncomplicated alteration to the position of the brush segments on the segment holder. This is accomplished by designing the bristle segments as hexagonal structures, two opposite sides corresponding to the radius of the segment holder and the lateral extent being limited by two pairs of straight lines at a segment angle.
