Hopscotch game

In a hopscotch game a mat of any desired shape is formed from a plurality of segments S of any desired shape and made from resilient, sound-damping and slip-proof material, by a method wherein mutually adjoining segments S are connected to each other by means of flexible material or by means of hinges in a manner such that the mat can be folded together without bending a segment S. The hopscotch game can be played both out of doors and in enclosed premises, because it can rapidly be spread out on the floor and can be folded together again equally rapidly. In an illustrative embodiment of the invention, sensors O are attached to the individual segments S and/or to the edges of neighbouring segments S and, when trod upon, emit a signal to an analysis device A which can be programmed for different playing rules. Thus, for example, the number of wrong and/or right hops can be displayed, and different optical and/or acoustic signals can be emitted for wrong hops and for right ones. The number of errors and the times of a plurality of players can be stored and displayed.
