Apparatus for generating biogas

To improve the degradation conditions of the anaerobic degradation of organic wastes, a fermentation duct for biogas generation is operated in such a way that the symbiotic processes of the participating microorganisms are promoted and that a certain proportion of active biomass is retained in the fermenter. These results are achieved by a special configuration of the substrate inlet pipe, an appropriate arrangement of the internal heating surfaces of the fermenter and by apparatuses in the bottom region of the septic chamber. In addition, inert solids can be added to the substrate. These measures lead to an increase of the degree of degradation and of gas production and to a stabilization of the microbial degradation process.
