Universally applicable robot welding torch for MIG/MAG welding

The invention relates to a universally applicable robot welding torch both for joint welding and for build-up welding. The object is to increase the effectiveness and power of robot welding torches whilst reducing the cost. The torch is designed in such a way that without retooling both complicated joint welds on seam areas which are difficult to access and thermally highly stressed build-up welds can be performed. According to the invention, a torch is proposed which is characterised by an outer torch casing which consists of outer pipe and gas nozzle and is constructed in its external diameter as a continuous, constant thin torch pipe on which a cooling element is located at any desired distance from the front edge of the gas nozzle and can be moved along the entire torch pipe, the tooling element being operatively connected during its displacement to an adjustment force which acts longitudinally with respect to the torch.
