PURPOSE:To obtain a laminate type electrophotographic sensitive body high in sensitivity by using a specified polycyclic pigment for an electrostatic charge generating layer as a charge generating material and a specified hydrazone type compound for a charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:In the laminate type electrophotographic sensitive body obtained by laminating the charge generating layer and the charge transfer layer on a conductive substrate, the charge generating layer comprises the polycyclic pigment represented by formula (I), and the charge transfer layer comprises the hydrazone type compound represented by formula (II). The charge generating layer can be formed by coating the conductive substrate with the pigment together with the charge transfer material when needed, and a proper binder. The hydrazone type compound to be used for the charge transfer layer can be added to the charge generating layer in an amount of <=1,000pts.wt., preferably, 1-100pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the charge generating material from the viewpoints of high sensitivity, low residual potential, and repetition stability. |
