Continuous process for preparing expandible styrene polymers

The invention concerns a continuous process for preparing expandible styrene polymers by polymerizing styrene in the presence of expanding agents in three stages: a) preparing a solution of polystyrene in styrene; b) dispersing the solution in an aqueous phase; and c) continuously polymerizing out the prepolymer in an aqueous suspension.
