<p>PURPOSE:To appropriately judge the necessity of turning a lighting equipment on and eliminate a wasteful operation by combinedly using a narrow angle and a wide angle illuminance detecting sensor and making said lighting equipment operate only when the detected outputs of both of said sensors become below a certain level. CONSTITUTION:At least two illuminance detecting sensors 3, 2 having different directivities of narrow angle and wide angle are provided, and the brightness in front of a car is detected by the narrow angle illuminance detecting sensor 3 while the brightness around the car is detected by the wide angle illuminance detecting sensor 2. And, a lighting equipment is controlled so as to operate when the output of the narrow angle illuminance detecting sensor 3 is lowered below a certain level and, later, as the output of the wide angle illuminance detecting sensor 2 is lowered below a certain level. Accordingly, the equipment is not operated when only either of the detected outputs is lowered, and a wasteful operation can be eliminated when the car is passing through a bridge or a short tunnel where it is not necessary for the lighting equipment to be turned on, resembling the sense of man. Also, a device can be simplified while securely operating, in spite of using only two detecting sensors.</p> |
