PURPOSE:To enable a rider to smoothly get on or off a rear seat by forwardly moving a seat at a high speed in spite of a power seat sliding device. CONSTITUTION:The position of a seat can be longitudinally adjusted by moving a screw bar 6 and an upper rail 2 by the force of a motor 5. On the other hand, a rapid feed can be carried out merely by releasing the locking of a lock lever 19 to release connection between the upper rail 2 and a seat frame bracket 12. Thereby, the seat frame bracket 12 can be moved forwardly without being subjected to any restraint and, accordingly, the seat can also be moved forwardly together with the seat frame bracket 12. This movement has no connection with the speed of rotation of the motor 5 and, therefore, can be carried out at a high speed. |
