PURPOSE:To decrease remarkably the drawing time by coding an image region to be processed while converting it into each geometrical graphic command such as point, line and rectangle and drawing repetitively and sequentially the image with respect to X, Y coordinate data of diagonal 2 apexes representing a rectangular region. CONSTITUTION:In applying coding processing to a rectangular region, the region is segmented sequentially in the unit of vertical lines and the coordinate data of start and end points of the 1st line segment are stored temporarily. Only different coordinate data of adjacent line segments are stored in place of line segment coordinate data stored already. In drawing an image, the Y coordinate is set as Y=Y1 (minimum Y coordinate) and X is increased from X1 (minimum X coordinate data) gradually till X1 (maximum X coordinate) to draw the corresponding line. Then while the Y coordinate is increased by 1 each, the drawing line is changed sequentially until Y2 (maximum Y coordinate) to repeat the said drawing. |
