In order to generate a series of speech parameters from a series of phonemic symbols extracted from a series of input characters, parameters for given syllables or phomemes are read from corresponding parameter files according to the types of immediately preceding vowels or consonants of the given syllables or phonemes in the series of phonemic symbols. The syllable or phoneme parameters ar combined to produce a series of speech parameters. |
