An information board apparatus has a display mechanism unit formed by arranging multiplicity of multicolor light-emitting members in a grid pattern, each of the members being constituted by a plurality of light-emitting diodes housed in a lamp case which has a heat-dissipating bore formed in its side plate portion at which the respective lead portions of the diodes are located. The display mechanism unit is attached to the front frame of the body of the apparatus. When this apparatus is employed for displaying, for example, road traffic information, the apparatus strongly attracts attention and permits the displayed information to be clearly seen.
