PURPOSE:To obtain the titled body having an electrifying property and a sensitivity by providing a photosensitive layer composed of a carrier generating substance and a carrier transfer substance on an electroconductive substrate and using a specific bisazo compound as the carrier generating substance. CONSTITUTION:The carrier generating substance comprises a bisazo compd. shown by formula I wherein X<1>-X<4> are each a hydrogen or a halogen atom, a methyl, a phenyl, a trifluoromethyl, a methoxy a hydroxyl, a cyano or a carboxyl group, A<1> and A<2> are each a group shown by formula II, Z is an aromatic or a heterocyclic group, Y is -NHR<1>, -NHNR<2>R<3> or -NHN=CR<4>R<5> group, R<1>-R<5> are each a hydrogen atom, an alkyl, an aralkyl, an aryl or a heterocyclic ring. An intermediate layer is provided on the electroconductive substrate composed of Al, and the carrier generating layer contg. the prescribed compd. is provided on said intermediate layer, and then, the carrier transfer layer is provided on said carrier generating layer to form the titled photosensitive body. Thus, as the titled body comprises the prescribed compds, the titled body having an excellent electrifying characteristics is obtd. and as the titled body has a large coating strength, the deterioration of said characteristics due to an use may be reduced. |
