<p>PURPOSE:To utilize display segments efficiently by calculating the positions of display segments from the number of the all display segments of a layout display part, print range information, and input position information. CONSTITUTION:Form size information, information on the maximum numbers of characters and lines which are entered on one line of the form, etc., are inputted to a keyboard 11. A CPU 13 determines the print range information and information on a character input position in one page on the basis of said pieces of information to store them in a storage means, and also calculates the number of segments of the layout display part 24 corresponding to the character input position information from the number of all the segments of the layout display part 24, print range information, and character input position information. Then, the CPU 13 displays the calculated data on the character display part 25 through a display memory 150 and a driver 151 and also makes a one-page layout display on the layout display part 24 on the basis of the calculated data.</p> |
