PURPOSE:To accurately mount an absorber by considering the swelling rate and to accurately hold the dimensional accuracy after swelling by providing a projecting strip on the lower surface of an upper plate of a supporting frame, and employing a structure that the absorber of ink holds swelled state. CONSTITUTION:Ink absorbers 44-47 that cover head elements of bubble jet unit (BJU) 35-38 are contained in a cap 34. A projecting strip 50b is projected downward on the bottom of the upper surface plate 50a of a supporting frame 50, and the absorbers 44-47 are mounted. The ends of the absorbers are intruded to the inside from the edge of the plate 50 between the frame 50 and a throttling plate 51 to the degree that the strip 50b is slightly contacted. When ink is absorbed in this state, the absorbers 44-47 swell up, and the strip 50b intrudes into the absorbers 44-47. The projecting amount at this time is accurately controlled in the size by the swelling rate to freely perform a throttling work and ink absorbing action. |
