发明名称 GLUCOSE/URIC ACID MEASURING APPARATUS
摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform quick and accurate measurement of the concentration of glucose and uric acid in a solution such as blood with only two times of calibrations, by using an electrode for detecting glucose and an electrode for detecting uric acid. CONSTITUTION:To calibrate the sensitivity of an electrode for detecting glucose, a glucose reference liquid is injected into a measuring system as sample. Then, with the electrode for detecting glucose, hydrogen peroxide formed from an enzyme reaction is electrolyzed and I1g of current flows. Then, when a reference uric acid liquid is injected into the measuring system, with the electrode for detecting uric acid I2u of current flows while lwith the electrode for detecting glucose, I2g of current does the ratio of the sensitivity between both the electrodes can be obtained. In this manner, two sensitivity calibrations are ended and then, a sample such as blood is injected into the measuring system. Consequently, I2g of current flows through the glucose detecting electrode while I2u does through the uric acid detecting electrode. As the sample such as blood contains a reducing substance that will be oxidized by +0.5V, Isg gives the total current value of the glucose and the reducing substance. Ascorbate oxidase is immobilized on the electrode thereby the determination of the virtually true value of glucose.
