PURPOSE:To form a color photographic sensitive material superior in sharpness and color reproductivity by incorporating a compound to be cleft by the reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent and releasing the component which is to be again cleft by the reaction with the other oxidation product and releasing a development inhibitor. CONSTITUTION:At least one of each of red-sensitive, green-sensitive, and blue- sensitive silver halide emulsion layer contains a compound to be cleft by the reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent and releasing a component to be again cleft by the raction with the other oxidation product and releasing a development inhibitor. This compound is, preferably, ones represented by the formula shown on the right in which A is a group to be cleft by the reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent and releasing L1v-B-L2w-DI; L1 is a group releasing B-L2w-DI after the release from A: B is, after the release from A-L1v, a group to be allowed to release L2w-DI by the reaction with the oxidation product; L2 is a group releasing the development inhibitor DI after the release from B; and each of v and w is 0 or 1. |
