PURPOSE:To allow an unskilled operator to perform grinding operation efficiently with a pneumatic type manual tool for free grinding of metal surface by furnishing a cylinder chamber and a piston within the body in such an arrangement as fore and aft with a pressure chamber interposed, and thereby advancing and retracting the shaft with tool at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:The air supplied to a pressure chamber 18 flows in a cylinder chamber 20, and a piston 27 moves to the right together with the shaft 2, and the air in exhaust chamber 22 extruded thereby is exhausted out from the rear of the body 1 through an exhaust port 28 and a felt 29. When a piston 26 moves to the left, the air in an exhaust chamber 30 is alike exhausted out from a through hole 31 provided in the shaft 2. When the lefthand end-face has attained a vertical groove 33, the air in the cylinder chamber 20 flows in the former mentioned exhaust chamber 22 through said vertical groove 33, and at the same time, a valve body 25 shuts an air communication hole 24 formed in a disc 11 with hole and opens a communication hole 23 in another disc 10 with hole, which causes the piston 26 to move the shaft 2 to the left. Repetition of this process will reciprocate the shaft 2 with strokes of approx. 0.5-2mm and at as high a speed as 40,000 reversals per min. |
