PURPOSE:To make the recording sensitivity and the reproduction sensitivity sufficiently high and to improve the resolution reproducing capacity at a high recording density by setting selectively the 1st or 2nd main magnetic pole at a position facing an auxiliary magnetic pole. CONSTITUTION:At time of recording, the 1st main magnetic pole 20a for a recording head rotates a holder 10 so that it can face the auxiliary magnetic pole 3, impresses a voltage on a laminated piezoelectric element 30a and expands said element 30a in a thickness direction. Thus, the tip of the 1st main magnetic pole 20a protrudes downward and comes contact with the recording face of a recording medium 4. At time of reproduction, the voltage impression on the laminated piezoelectric element 30a is released to lead in the 1st main magnetic pole 20a. Then the holder 10 is rotated by 180 deg. with a drive spindle 11 as a center, and a voltage is impressed on a laminated piezoelectric element 30b as the 2nd main magnetic pole 20b is set at the position facing the auxiliary magnetic pole 3. Accordingly, the tip of the 2nd main magnetic pole 20b protrudes, and comes contact with the recording face of the recording medium 4. |
