MANUFACTURE OF CATHODE PLATE FOR LEAD-ACID BATTERY

摘要

PURPOSE:To increase life specified in JIS by filling a paste-like mixture obtained by kneading lead powder produced from Pb-Sn alloy with water and dilute sulfuric acid in a Pb-Ca alloy substrate. CONSTITUTION:A paste-like mixture obtained by kneading lead powder produced from Pb-Sn alloy by ball milling or other methods with water and dilute sulfuric acid is filled in a Pb-Ca alloy substrate. In this cathode plate, alpha-PbO2 which is relatively inactive electrochemically is formed by the presence of Sn and progress of discharge reaction is not easy. Therefore, deterioration in electrical contact of the substrate with the active material is retarde.
