PURPOSE:To obtain a urethane resin having sufficient mechanical and good antithrombotic properties and being usable in a living body, by reacting a mixed diol comprising a specified block copolyether diol and a specified polyether diol with an organic diisocyanate and chain-extending the product with a diamine compound. CONSTITUTION:A block copolyether diol having a number-average MW of 500-5,000 and a polyoxyethylene content of 10-50wt%, represented by formula I (whereinl, m and n are each an integer of 1-100) is mixed with a polyether diol of number average MW of 500-5,000, represented by formula II (wherein R is a group of formula III or IV and x and y are each an integer of 1-100) in an amount which ranges from 10-90mol% and is such that the polyoxyethylene content in the total diol is 5-45wt%. 1mol of this diol is reacted with 2.01-3.50mol of an organic diisocyanate and the product is chain- extended with a diamine compound. |
