PURPOSE:To make dialing quick and sure to a desired talking party by storing an opposite telephone number and name in a memory, reading a name and a telephone number corresponding thereto from the memory and displaying them on a display section. CONSTITUTION:A control section 6 is provided with a memory and data representing opposite telephone numbers and names required for talking are stored in the memory. In operating a dial/key operation section 9 to designate the initial of the desired opposite name, the data representing the initial, telephone number and name are read from the memory and given to a display section 8. Then the display section 8 displays the telephone number (a), the name (c) and the designated initial (d). The initial of the name of the desired opposite party is recognized simply and whether or not the telephone number of the talking opposite party is dialed correctly is discriminated surely and simply from the displayed name (c) in this way. |
