PURPOSE:To reduce a necessary number of separation tanks to the amount of waste water from a paint mist removing apparatus to a large extent, in the separation of paint dregs by float separation, by providing a pretreatment tank and guiding flooded water containing floated and separated paint dregs from said tank to a separation tank to perform final treatment. CONSTITUTION:Waste water from a paint mist removing apparatus 2 is received in a pretreatment tank 5 and floated and separated dregs are recovered in a recovery part 8 along with flooded water while water from which paint dregs were separated and removed is recirculated and supplied to the mist removing apparatus. The recovered paint of a conc. state is injected in a separation tank from a nozzle 11 along with compressed air and, when a predetermined amount of the floated and separated paint dregs were accumulated, the water level in the tank is raised to allow only the floated and separated paint dregs to flow out to a dehydration filter. The separation tank requires a water level adjusting control apparatus and other complicated accessory apparatus but the pretreatment tank does not require said apparatuses and a necessary number of separation tanks can be reduced by arranging the pretreatment tank and large cost reduction can be attained. |
