PURPOSE:To shorten an oil passage for simplification and prevent the member of the oil passage from deterioration, by providing a lubricating oil tank at one side portion of an engine body, and interposing a lubricating oil pump between the lubricating oil tank and the engine body. CONSTITUTION:An engine body 1 consists of a cylinder block 3 retaining a piston 2 slidably and a crankcase 4 and so on. A lubricating oil tank 20 is provided at one side portion of the engine body 1. A lubricating oil pump 28 is interposed between the lubricating oil tank 20 and the engine body 1. Lubricating oil which has lubricated each section and streamed down the wall surface of the crankcase 4 is recovered from oil sumps 13, 14 through an oil recycling passage 35 to the lubricating oil tank 20 as shown by an arrow B. Thereby, an oil passage can be shortened for simplification and the members forming the oil passage can be protected against deterioration. |
