The subject of the invention is an apparatus producing a flow of air loaded with water vapour, or another appropriate liquid, in a quantity and at a temperature chosen in order to be directed towards the nostrils of a person, without causing discomfort to the latter, which constitutes a therapy which can be used in medicine. It comprises means for supplying and heating this air, as well as means for humidifying the latter, and a member for emitting the flow of humid air, which can be adjusted in azimuth, in order to allow its correct positioning in front of the nostrils of the patient. Furthermore, it comprises means for pressurised supply of the liquid used, means of vaporising this liquid and means for adjusting and monitoring the temperatures of the process. The invention can be used in the medical treatment of inflammations of the nasal mucosa such as rhinitis. <IMAGE> |
