Sulfonylurea derivatives represented by general formula (1) or salts thereof and optically active intermediates thereof; a process for producing these compounds; and drugs containing these sulfonylurea derivatives or salts thereof as the active ingredient, wherein R<1> represents hydrogen, optionally substituted acyl or alkoxycarbonyl; R<2> and R<3> represent each alkyl; and * represents an asymmetric carbon atom, provided that the case where the absolute configuration at * is S, R<1> is hydrogen, R<2> is methyl and R<3> is cyclohexyl is excluded. These compounds have an immediate- and short-acting hypoglycemic effect. |
