The invention relates to a method for measuring the specific yield, in a well, as a function of time, of the various layers of an underground formation having several layers producing hydrocarbons. This method consists in lowering a flow meter 13 into the well, in passing it successively, in a repeated fashion, in front of each of the layers 1 to 5 of the formation and in noting the yield values which it provides when it is located immediately above each layer, as well as the corresponding times of measurement, the specific yield of each layer 1 to 5 then being deduced from the cumulative yields noted in this way. <IMAGE>
