The invention relates to a turntable of relatively simple, lightweight and inexpensive construction, equipped with a particularly convenient control. The turntable comprises a series of similar elements 2 in the form of circular sectors, and a central closing plate 3. An articulated joint 4 is made between the elements 2. The latter each rest on an outer wheel 5, on a central pivot and on the following element 2. The turntable is driven by two electric motors actuating two wheels arranged at 90 DEG . The driver of the vehicle 9 causes rotation in one direction or another by steering a guiding wheel resting on a transverse displacement detector 7. The invention can particularly be used where access is difficult, at garages or parking places, or for replacing a turning-round space. <IMAGE>
