The invention relates to a manual hydraulic pump, in particular an emergency pump for operating the doors (gates) of a sluice (lock) with the aid of jacks, comprising a framework 10 in which are mounted at least one pumping element and one rotary shaft 22 common to the pumping elements and able to be rotationally driven by a hand crank. Each pumping element comprises a chamber 12 with one open end and with inlet and outlet orifices 14, 16, a cam 24 mounted fixedly on the shaft, a central piston 26 of smaller cross-section than the chamber and subjected to the action of the cam 24 so as to perform reciprocating pumping movements in the chamber, an annular piston 28, received between the central piston and the wall of the chamber, and a series of elastic washers 30 ("Belleville" or the like) acting between the central piston and the annular piston so as to stress the latter towards the inside of the chamber, so that, according to the pressure of the hydraulic fluid in the chamber, the stroke of the said piston element varies so as thus to adapt the flow rate according to the variable pressure required to operate the said doors (gates), at a constant manual input pressure. <IMAGE>
